7 Months

Miriam turned 7 months old on Friday. I didn't think that she would change much over the past month but boy was I wrong. She has gotten so much more active and talkative. As you can see, she can sit up!! She can sit up for very long stretches-4 or 5 minutes. And she only stops sitting up when she is ready to lay back down (or get some toy that she sees close by).

And, boy, can this girl talk. She is stringing together several consonants and vowel sounds. For example, she says things like abamooba. Sometimes I swear she is really talking, and I guess she is--I just can't understand her :-) And she sings! It is so cute. If I am singing (Madeleine and I sing a lot), Miriam will start singing too. She even mimics the tune and rhythm of the song--Madeleine didn't do that until she was much older.

This stage is my favorite. She is still a cute cuddly baby but she interacts with me. I just wish she could stay this way longer than just a few months :-(
