I don't like it!

Madeleine is becoming quite the contrarian, especially when it comes to new foods. If she hasn't eaten it before, she doesn't like it. Tonight I was cutting up squash she asked me what it was. When she heard, her immediate response was "I don't like it." How does she know? We haven't had it recently?

Of course I put some on her plate. The funny thing is that she ate every bite and asked for more. Last night though she stuck to her guns and refused to eat the fish I made because she didn't like it. But she might have been telling the truth about the fish--she actually may not like it (despite never having eaten it). The whole time I was pregnant with her, I couldn't stand the sight and smell of fish. Even the thought of eating fish made me feel sick. It was so bad that I still don't like fish. The only reason I eat fish is because it is good for me, and, every year or so, I forget how much I really don't like fish any more.
