BLIZZARD! Part 6

We had to shovel a lot of snow this morning. In the end I think we have about 2.5-3 feet of snow where we are at. And fortunately we have really nice neighbors. We don't own a snow shovel yet but the nice people next door loaned us theirs. They, unfortunately, had to shovel out and go to work. They work for UPS corporate offices and they got called in to help the drivers. They told them to come prepared to work straight through the next four days.

Madeleine and Miriam had great fun playing in the snow and watching the neighborhood dogs jump around. Several families had their dogs out to play--they were throwing the dogs Frisbees and balls. When the dogs dove for the balls all you could see were their tails sticking up out of the snow.

Madeleine decided that the snow was her own personal chair. She could sit down and it would just conform to her body. Miriam on the other hand wasn't too fond of being in the snow. I am sure that since the snow went up to her head she was a little alarmed--I know that I would be. I held her or sat her in the wagon most of the time we were out.

And Joel, like a crazy man, decided to walk on over to work after he finished shoveling snow. Trudging through 2.5 feet of snow made his walk take a little longer than yesterday but at least it was safer than driving (the snow plows probably won't make it over to our part of town until tomorrow).
