Last Friday

Last Friday was the first full day that Jessica and Kylie were in town (Steven didn't get in until Sat. afternoon). We took the girls to the Denver Children's Museum. This place was great. They had a huge area just for babies up to 4 year-olds to play. We spent a couple of hours there and the girls didn't even play in all the areas that were available. I will definitely be taking my girls back.

It was so funny watching the girls play. Madeleine played really well with Kylie--she showed Kylie how to play and was very patient with her. Miriam on the other hand was fairly indifferent to playing with Kylie. Miriam loved having Kylie around but she was satisfied with just having her there--she didn't feel the need to actually interact too much with her. I think that right now that is just the age Miriam is at. As all the parenting books say, she in much more into "parallel play" at this age (she wants to play next to others but not actually with others).
