I wish I had taken a picture of it, but Madeleine had the biggest splinter in her foot that I have ever seen. It was at least an inch long. Her foot had been bothering her all day, but, being the attentive mom that I am, I hadn't really looked at it. Fortunately she showed it to Joel and he paid attention.
After two nights of me holding her down and Joel digging, we finally got it all removed. Well we got most of it removed and we think that the last little part will come out on its own. It was all a very traumatic experience for Madeleine but at least she won't have an infected foot for Thanksgiving. Just don't go showing her needles and tweezers, she might have a flashback.
