Remodel: Day 3

Joel worked hard Friday night and all day today (Saturday). Today he brought in two guys to help him. They really made good progress. They were able to get up all the old flooring and 90% of all the staples in the kitchen, dining area, entry way, and hallway. They also moved all the appliances out to the garage, removed the baseboards, and hauled off 3 Expedition loads of trash.

The only down side to the whole day was the living room--it is the only other room on the first floor (besides the bathroom). Therefore, all the furniture from the kitchen and dining area was shoved into the living room. We ended up dragging most of it back out but we still have some really strange stuff in the living room. Plus we have no dishwasher, no oven, no stove, and no fridge in our kitchen. But we do have a microwave. It was either go out to eat tonight or have popcorn. Our fridge is actually hooked up in the garage so we aren't really that bad off. We are going out tomorrow to pick out new appliances but it looks like that we are going to be eating lots of microwaved food for the next few days.
