Little Peanut

Last Friday, Amanda turned 5 months old. She is really developing quickly but she isn't growing so quickly. She had her check up Tuesday. She weighs 11lbs 9oz and is 23 3/4 inches long. She is in the 5% for weight and the 8% for height. To put that simply, more than 90% of babies her age are bigger than her. It is looking more and more like I might have a girl closer to my size when she grows up!

But developmentally she is advanced. She started rolling over consistently at 3 1/2 months. Also, at 4 1/2 months she started passing objects from hand to hand. She is also constantly laughing and "talking" but when you have two big sisters you are bound to laugh and talk a lot. They are all so cute together. Even when Amanda is tired and hungry she can still find a laugh and smile for her sisters. She is just enthralled with them and watches everything that the do. I am in real trouble when she starts crawling! I better start childproofing things now.

We also started feeding her food. I had tried cereal a week or so ago but she wasn't too interested. When I took her to the doctor, he said, "Forget cereal, give that girl something that tastes good!" So that night we went home and I cooked her up a sweet potato that Grandma and Grandpa brought from their garden (so she and Hannah ate the same first food!). She loved it. Right now I am just feeding her solid food in the evening. But next week I may try twice a day. We will just see how this week goes. Now, I just wish that Bill and Betty had brought me so winter squash--I bet she would like that too.

Really, Just 1 picture of Amanda? Seems like I'm getting short-changed a bit... Let's get cracking with a couple more pics of this girl!
