I have had to resort to bribery in the potty training saga. At first I tried stickers. But those weren't special enough since we give her stickers all the time. So I pulled out the big guns--candy. She hardly ever gets candy from us (we don't usually have it in the house and when we do, we wait until she is asleep to eat it ;-) And I didn't just get any old candy, I got chocolate.
All I have to do now is ask her if she wants candy and she will try her best to go to the bathroom (once today, she didn't have to go but she sat there for five minutes trying). I even put a few in the bathroom so that I could show it to her in case she needed some extra incentive. We are still having accidents but at least now I can get her to go when she sits on the potty (for awhile she was refusing to go and then would go about 5 minutes after I let her get up--very annoying).
