I feel like I use the girls' bad habits and bad behavior as the topic of most of my posts on my blog. I hope you don't get the wrong impression. My kids are great. And 90% of the time they are absolute angels. But their bad habits and bad behavior is really amusing to me. Especially Madeleine's. Her bad behavior is evidence of her budding independence. It is just amazing to me that just two years ago she was just a little baby like Miriam, and now she is asserting her independence and sometimes totally annoying me.
But I love her asserting her independence! She does all these things that are "bad" but it is often really hard to keep from laughing. Like the other day, I caught her dumping a bag of popcorn on the counter. I yelled at her to stop. For a split second she stopped and looked me in the eye, and then flung the remainder of the bag on the counter. I was furious but, man, was it funny. I could just see her thinking--"Popcorn everywhere is fun! What will mom do to me? It can't be that bad, and this is so worth it!"
