Well two weeks might just be too long to be gone from home. Or at least gone from Daddy. Every time Madeleine sees a red SUV she says, "Unca Jay's car. Daddy come get us in Unca Jay's car!!" The last sentence is more like a command than a statement of fact. And she keeps saying "I want MY Daddy."
I really miss Joel too. I am getting sick and tired of putting Madeleine to bed :-) She goes to sleep for Joel. But for me I have to lay there in her room for 1-2 HOURS before she will go to sleep (I could just leave her in there to cry but I am afraid of Grandma Oma--she's pretty scrappy).
Miriam on the other hand is fairly indifferent (sorry Joel). She is enjoying all the people making silly faces at her. And she is enjoying the bites of food that people keep sneaking her.
What I am not looking forward to is the 9 hour drive on Saturday. Madeleine has an ear infection (which is completely crummy). But the up side is that the doctor prescribed her cough syrup with codeine. Hopefully that will help her sleep more on the drive :-)
