Friday I took the kids to the zoo. And we had a blast. Madeleine loved seeing all the animals and all the kids. In all honesty, Madeleine's favorite part was watching all the kids look at the animals. She kept mimicking the older kids that she saw.
The funniest moment happened while we were looking at the Rhino. Madeleine was trying to climb the fence. And, without thinking, I said, "You better not climb that fence. That Rhino will eat you up!" From then on, every time an animal even looked like it was thinking of moving, she would jump back and say, "He's gonna eat my finger!" I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to explain that I was only joking, the animals aren't going to try and eat her, and they can't even get to the fence! I have got to learn to think before I talk!!
