I have noticed a funny thing at the gym lately. When I check on the girls in the day care, they are often together. Madeleine is either playing next to or with Miriam. Madeleine is actually choosing to stay close to Miriam. I didn't figure that she would start enjoying Miriam this soon.
Miriam still can't "play" much. But they are starting to interact--Madeleine plays next to Miriam and shows her what she is doing. And sometimes Madeleine pretends to take care of Miriam (she asks her if she is hungry or needs a clean diaper and then pretends to get her food or change her).
I am just really surprised by all of this. Madeleine is really doing great with Miriam. Especially considering that Miriam's idea of interacting is pulling hair. But Madeleine has even figured out how to deal with that (she yells for me and I go pry Miriam's fingers loose;-). I just can't wait until Miriam turns 1--I figure that around then they will really start playing together.
