Sunday night we were looking at pictures and pointing out the people we knew. We came to Aunt Juli and Madeleine says, "We don't eat Aunt Juli."
"That's right, " I replied, "we don't eat Aunt Juli."
I thought it was strange but she says strange things all the time. Then yesterday morning she was pretending to talk to Uncle Jim on the phone. After she hung up her pretend phone, she looked at me and said, "We don't eat Uncle Jim."
OK, now that is weird. Is she a repressed cannibal or is there just something about Jim and Juli that makes Madeleine hungry? Either way, I just hope that she doesn't try to take a bite out of them when we see them this weekend.
