First Bike

Madeleine got her first bike yesterday. She and her dad put it together and then she went out for her first ride. She did really well on it. It has training wheels but she is still having to learn how to pedal, steer, and stop. Since we live on a pretty good hill, the steering and the stopping are a little complicated--she can pick up speed really fast without any pedaling. After falling about 7 times yesterday, she decided to call it a day. But all in all she had a great time and after almost every fall hoped right back up to ride some more.
