Arguements

I really thought that I knew basically everything that the girls could argue about (and yes, a 3 year old and a 1 year old argue--a lot). But this week we found a new thing for them to argue over!

One of their favorite games is to play "drive through." They drive around in their various vehicles on the porch, come up to the back door, ask for some food item, I pretend to make it, I hand it to them, they pretend to eat it, and they drive off. Well, Madeleine came up and asked for chocolate. Miriam quickly followed, "Me to, me to, chocolate!!" I handed them each a piece of pretend chocolate (also known as "air"). Then the fighting ensued.

Miriam grabbed the "air" out of Madeleine's hand. Madeleine started crying that "Miriam took my chocolate!" And before I could intervene there were tears and pushing--all over PRETEND chocolate. Finally I got in and broke up the disturbance and gave them each a bag of pretend chocolate.

What will trigger the next round?!!?
