First Day of School

Madeleine had her first day of school today!! I took her up to school and hung out for a few minutes until she felt comfortable--basically that means I hung out until her friend Joey showed up and then she forgot that I was even there. Joey is the little boy above. He lives across the street and his mom and I have arranged it so that we can carpool (she is going to take them to school and I will pick them up). Basically Joey is one of Madeleine's best friends.

Miriam took the first day of school the hardest of all. When we got in the car without Madeleine, Miriam just looked up at me with big sad eyes and said "Where's Madeleine?" She continued to ask this all the way home. But once we were home she was OK with Madeleine's absence.

And so what did I do with all my new found free time?!?! I cleaned up after sick people. Joel and his parents all came down with a stomach virus last night (the girls and I had it last week). At least the girl's and I weren't sick too.
