Tonight Joel had class and left early to get some extra work done. Since the girls and I were going to be home alone for dinner, I didn't put much thought into dinner. Around 5 Madeleine asked what we were going to have and I said "I don't know. What do you want me to make?"
She took my question as an open invitation to orchestrate dinner. She immediately went over to the refrigerator and began rummaging around. She didn't find much in the fridge and quickly moved on to the freezer. Her dinner menu consisted of peas, corn, broccoli, and french fries. She then moved to the pantry to rummage for more and selected some pretzels and chocolate milk for dessert. In an effort to bring a little protein to the meal, I convinced her to trade the broccoli for fish sticks. At least I don't have a problem getting her to eat her veggies. And I know that on her own she would eat pretty healthy.

That is WAY too funny. I made this yucky fish the other night and Kylie totally ate it and her corn. I threw my fish in the trash when she wasn't looking. Don't you LOVE when you kids like veggies and fruit! Thanks for sharing such a cute story.
