Friday evening the girls were happily playing upstairs. I had checked on them and, at that time, they were innocently playing birthday party. Joel later went up and quickly yelled up for me. This is what we walked found in our bathroom:
Madeleine had gotten hold of our scissors and proceeded to give Miriam a haircut.
Did you notice the really short chunks? Half of Miriam's hair was cut VERY short. At the time it happened I couldn't do anything but laugh. It was just too shocking.
I knew that this was a serious matter, and it would required more skill than we would find at the local Supercuts. I took Miriam to a really nice hair salon and they did a great job making it look good.

Madeleine also cut some of her own hair but you can't really see it in any of the pictures that I took. I was afraid that we were going to have to cut her hair short but the stylist suggested that we just cut in a few layers and blend it in as best as we could. There is one piece that looks a little odd but it should start blending in over the next couple of months. I was really glad that they thought it best to save the length of her hair. I just don't think that Madeleine would look as good with short hair. I would have taken pictures of Madeleine but she doesn't look any different now than she did the other day.

That is crazy!!! I can't believe that the girls did this. I cut my little sister's hair when I was younger. I hope my kids don't do that to each other. I'm glad that you laughed about it though. You are a good Mom.
