Last Friday Joel and I went to Home Depot and got all the supplies we needed to paint the kitchen over the weekend. Then we woke up Saturday and realized that neither one of us really felt like spending the weekend painting. We got a recommendation for a painter. Fortunately he was able to give us an estimate over the weekend and then start painting Wednesday. So for the past couple of days, the house has been in chaos again.
The painter finished late today and it looks fantastic. Once I get it cleaned up I will post some pictures.
I am just glad that we didn't do it ourselves. We have some tricky areas that even he had some problems with. It was a full two day job for the painter and his helper--it would have taken us two weekends to finish. And it wouldn't have looked nearly as great as it looks.
