Well, we are experiencing our first round of Strep Throat in our household. Fortunately, as of right now, it is confined to just one member of our family. Since it is so prevalent with school age kids, you might be thinking that Madeleine picked it up at school. But no...Joel has it.
Hopefully he will be the only one that catches it. But it is pretty contagious. Luckily though, we know what is going around now and if any of the rest of us show symptoms we can see the doctor immediately. Fortunately, Strep isn't a threat to the baby and I can take the antibiotics that they would need to give me if I come down with it. But, right now I am washing my hands constantly and trying to stay at least 5 feet away from Joel (except for those times when I place food within his reach and then run ;-).
The doctor assured us that 24 hours after he starts antibiotics he will no longer be contagious. He took his first pill around 6 tonight. So until then he is confined to the bedroom--then I will go in there with a can a Lysol and box of antibacterial wipes!

Be sure to spray Joel down real good with that Lysol spray... I assume that you are going to spray him down, right?!?
knowing how paranoid she is right now, I would bet that she will at least try.
