Last Wednesday Bill and Betty came and visited for almost a week. We had a GREAT time.
Perhaps the big girls' favorite part was getting to go out alone with Grandpa. Bill took the girls out for breakfast two mornings. Then they got to walk around downtown Golden and go to various parks. They really enjoyed some one-on-one time with Grandpa. They also really liked getting to ride in the pick-up (as adults we forget how exciting those little things are).
Joel and my favorite part was getting to go to the Guitar Town Festival in Copper Mountain. All seven of us loaded up the cars and headed up to the mountains for a day of music. There were some great perfomers but, by far, our favorite was Tommy Emmanuel. His specialty was using his guitar as a precussion instrument. He kept all of us entertained (including all three little girls).

To cap off the week we had an early mini party for Madeleine's birthday. I guess she is going to get to celebrate her birthday all month. I doubt she will complain about that.
