Well we have survived a day stranded in a hotel. I have to say that we are very lucky. Most of the day was spent with Joel playing video games on his Blackberry, me playing with the kids and surfing the Internet, Madeleine playing with her Leap Pad computer, and Miriam playing blocks. That was all interspersed with watching cartoons and movies. What would we do with out technology?
We also spent plenty of time racing up and down the hall, walking around the pool, riding up and down the elevator (or, as Madeleine says, elligator), and making friends with every young girl under the age of 10. The girls also spent most of the day hopped up on sugar from the Fruit Loops we got at the breakfast buffet. Needless to say, we had an eventful day and the girls fell asleep early. Thank goodness!
Hopefully we will get to leave tomorrow mid-morning. We are just waiting for the wind to die down and for them to clear the snow drifts. Hopefully tomorrow will bring with it lots of sun and clear, calm skies.
