Pumpkin Patch

Friday Madeleine's school hosted a pumpkin patch event. They painted pumpkins, had broomstick races, bobbed for apples, listened to Halloween stories, and got to pick out their own pumpkin to take home. I took Miriam and we joined in the fun. The little boy in the picture above is Joe, our neighbor. I was really surprised that no pumpkins got smashed. Most of the kids treated them like big balls that could be tossed, rolled, and kicked.

This was the first of many Halloween celebrations--I will be posting lots of fun stuff this week.
