Madeleine had her first day of school on Tuesday. She is goes to school from 8:50 to 11:30. So far, she is really enjoying it. She is very shy and quiet in new situations. To encourage her to be a little more out going, we told her that each day she needs to make one new friend and then come home and tell us her name. So far she has met Elizabeth, Dana, and Max. The one funny thing is how extreme kindergarteners are--they are either painfully quiet, like Madeleine, or completely outgoing and talking everyone's ears off!
Just so you know, the above photo was the best I could get. She was so excited about leaving for school that she would not cooperate. Below are some of my other attempts. My neighbor, Carrie, took some more pictures at school. Hopefully some of hers turned out decent!

WOW!! I can't believe she is old enough to go to school! How did you deal with it? I think I will be bawling. Yep I am one of those moms. Way to go Madeleine we are so proud of you for going to school and making so many new friends.
